Side Mirrors

hi l am brand new here. l have just bought a galaxy deisel 2 litre. l cant alter the mirrors. there is a knob on the drivers door it just say r and l. l am presuming that this must be for the mirrors byt when l twist it nothing happens. can anyone help please?

Hi and welcome to the site

Twisting the knob selects the side L or R that you want to adjust, you then push the knob in the direction you want the mirror to go with ignition on.

thanks for your answer. Right one worked brilliant thanks, but i tried it again with left. no joy.

You don't say how old your car is, so do a search on broken wires in front doors - you will see it is a very common problem once these cars get to about 7 or 8 years old. It is possible that the wires are broken in either the left or right hand door "boots".

(on the other hand, it might just be the mirror motors or switch gone u/s, but I'd look at the wires first.)
